Stephanie Kaza is Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at the University of Vermont, Burlington, VT 05405. She is the author of The Attentive Heart: Conversations with Trees (Ballantine, 1993) and is currently working on a book on Buddhist environmental ethics.
